Building on last year, Printing Industries of America brings you the second Inkjet Ready! virtual conference event. In part two of the Inkjet Ready! series, we’ll delve deeper with a focus on production inkjet applications and growth areas, job and ink estimating accuracy, ink reduction for cost savings, and more. In a special session, you’ll also get the facts—right from the manufacturers—on who’s buying their products, their applications and verticals, and the company size that aligns with each of their product offerings.

 

Following the half-day event, you’ll have access to an exclusive online resource center where you’ll be able to review the recorded sessions at your convenience.

What’s different about cost estimating jobs for production inkjet versus offset or toner-based printing? For production inkjet, ink is the single most important variable to get right—it will make or break your profitably. What about makeready waste? Is there downtime and how much? What about changeover? Gain insights and best practices on how to accurately estimate ink costs, job setup, makeready and changeover, materials waste, and other variables for production inkjet.

 

About the presenter

Paul Dombrowski is an independent ROI Analyst for digital print systems, offset, and narrow web and CI flexographic presses. Paul works with printing organizations to help calculate the costs and benefits of new presses. For three years, Dombrowski conducted ROI analysis for the Eastman Kodak Company. He worked directly with sales executives and their customers that are considering the purchase of inkjet and electro photographic printing presses. Dombrowski's expertise in the printing industry is derived from having produced hundreds of unique print projects. Paul Dombrowski founded and ran his own print services company where he has direct experience in sales, estimating, production, and management.

Join Dr. Mark Bohan as he will discuss what’s really possible and what’s really not, the interactions with the substrate, and the techniques available for using less ink, optimizing costs, and getting great results.

 

About the presenter

Dr. Bohan is an acknowledged expert on the application of all print technologies, their business impact, and the optimization of production workflow and print operations. While working on many different processes, with inkjet he has carried out extensive technical and business assessments for both users and manufacturers of many different systems. He maintains close ties with many users, researchers and manufacturers. His work has culminated in 104 publications, 251 invited presentations and 89 press articles.
