Conference Overview

Print & Packaging Legislative Conference (formerly known as Print’s Voice) is Printing Industries of America’s signature government affairs event that brings printers, suppliers and allied interests together for a powerful program of public policy and political education, issue advocacy, interaction with Members of Congress and networking events on Capitol Hill. Recommended attendees are Presidents/CEOs and other C-Suite executives of printing and graphic communications companies. Executives with responsibility for environmental/health and safety, human resources, legal, postal, tax, technology and/or sales are especially encouraged to attend.

Print & Packaging Legislative Conference is co-hosted by PIA, Association of International Corrugated Converters (AICC) and Fibre Box Association (FBA) and is held in conjunction with National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) annual Manufacturing Summit. Attendees will attend both industry sessions hosted along with events attended a cross section of manufacturers.

The highlight of the legislative summit is the in-person grassroots lobbying meetings on Capitol Hill that allow  you to take your company and industry story directly to decision-makers in the US Senate and US House of Representatives. Given the dynamics of a new White House Administration and a new 115th Congress, you won’t want to miss this year’s fly-in!

What You Will Learn

  • How hot-button policy issues in the areas of tax, postal, and regulatory issues may impact your company’s bottom line.
  • Best-practices on how you can advocate for your company and the industry before Congress and other decision-makers.
  • Opportunity to promote the positive image of print, packaging and paper before key Capitol Hill audiences.
  • Hear directly from Senators, Congressman and Trump Administration officials on issues pertinent to a pro-print, pro-growth agenda.
  • Analysis of the new GOP-controlled White House & Congress and what it could mean for America’s businesses. Plus…
  • Socialize and network with industry and business community peers with the US Capitol as your backdrop.

Capitol Hill Lobbying Visit Requests

Capitol Hill lobbying visits must be requested by email no later than June 1. Please email your meeting requests and include the elected official’s name or state/congressional with whom you would like to meet to membercentral@printing.org. If you would like to modify or cancel your requests, please do so by sending an email to the same address. Your meetings will be scheduled by Print & Packaging Legislative Summit and you will receive a personalized schedule of Capitol Hill meetings at the event check-in on June 20.

There is not a guarantee that the Senator or Representative may attend the meeting. Be sure to select Senators and Representatives who are in states/Congressional District in which your company has facilities and/or your own Senator and Representative. Please prioritize and limit your meeting requests to 6 elected officials total.
