"Hard bargaining" is the technique of aggressive collective bargaining by which employers lawfully may "take on" their union at the bargaining table to achieve the employer's bargaining agenda or to resist the union's and, upon bargaining impasse, to permissibly put into effect the employer's final offer even though the union boss does not agree to it.

Printing Industries of America has a long history of providing labor relations assistance to members. In fact, PIA was founded in 1887 on the principal of labor relations for both union and nonunion printing companies.
